PASIKLEKETAVIMAI

At the tip of the Cape Vente, an engaging ethno-jazz project will forge a connection between people and birds, blending ancient sutartinės polyphony and traditional music with jazz improvisations and electronic rhythms. Archaic harmonies intertwine with contemporary music, creating an unexpected, vibrant, and ever-changing soundscape.

The core of this project by renowned jazz composer Skirmantas Sasnauskas and the sutartinės group Ūtara is the chirping of birds woven into the magic polyphony. This unique fusion resonated on the 2025 album “Pasikleketavimai” and immediately captured the attention of listeners interested in traditional folklore, ethno, world, post-folk, jazz, and improvisational music.

The following artists will “chirp” together on the Regykla stage:
• Skirmantas Sasnauskas – project composer (trombone, bagpipes, vocals)
• The sutartinės singing group ŪTARA: Lilija Milašienė – concept creator, Aušra Kriaučiūnė, Rūta Aladavičienė, Eglė Raudonikienė, Aušra Žičkienė (vocals)
• Agota Zdanavičiūtė (kanklės, vocals)
• Adas Gecevičius (electronics)
