A legendary Lithuanian electronic music project, creating at the intersection of dance music, alternative rock, and contemporary electronics for more than two decades. The core of Happyendless consists of stage veterans Andrius Kauklys and Marius Narbutis, who now perform with singer Kamilė Tumelytė.
While the Happyendless discography is filled with famous albums and popular remixes, and the band is mostly known as standard-bearers of club music, their recently released opus “Antologija” — hailed by critics as “undoubtedly the album of the year” — reveals a different side of the project. It is an archaeology of sound, or an active dismantling of the past and its reconstruction in today’s reality, where the usual barriers between “high” and “popular” culture are crumbling.
On the Regykla Wind Stage, we will hear unique artistic reconstructions, including classical masterpieces such as Bronius Kutavičius’s “The Last Pagan Rites” or M.K. Čiurlionis’s “The Sea”. We will also experience industrial-tinged compositions inspired by the Nida Lighthouse, and, of course, echoes of the wonderful songs that every Lituanian knows by heart.
In the vast landscape of Ventė, top-tier electronic creativity, history, and the transformation of time will merge — and we cannot wait to experience it!
