Crossing the Curonian Lagoon by boat, the folklore ensemble Giedružė from the Agila Culture and Tourism Information Centre in Nida will open the Regykla Festival with the luminous songs of Lituania’s Seaside region. Since its founding in 2002, the ensemble has devoted itself to the musical heritage of Lituania Minor, performing songs preserved in the collections of Ludwig Rhesa, Antanas Juška, and Christian Bartsch. Their performance will evoke the world of the dune people, bringing to life the traditions, customs, and everyday stories of the local fishermen.
