SEEING BEYOND
Regykla is a place where the horizon opens not only to the eyes, but to inner perception. It is a space of profound experience, where our gaze travels across the vastness of the landscape, we open our mind and draw inspiration. Regykla calls to a wider way of seeing — toward what feels known, yet forgotten: from ancient roots to distant futures.
The name is inspired by the great spiritual thinker Vydūnas, a prominent figure of the coastal region of Lituania Minor. For him his magic name was not merely a word, but an essence. Regėti / vydėti means to see, to behold, a vision, a way of seeing — these are words that speak of human awareness and the ability to perceive.
The idea of the festival is looking in two directions — NATURE AND CULTURE.
We express reverence for Nature as an essential part of Baltic identity — a living sense of responsibility to protect what is passed down from generation to generation. The Baltic historical and cultural heritage is not only hillforts, sacred sites, and mythological monuments, but also a deep sensitivity to the landscape and the living diversity that surrounds us. The gaze of Regykla turns inward — into the self, into the roots, and in defense of Nature.
The festival program spans from archaic harmonies and sutartinės to contemporary music ignited by a fierce sense of identity. Exploratory hikes, lectures, workshops, spiritual experiences under the open sky await in one of Lituania’s most breathtaking locations! You will encounnter performances by renowned music artists, traditional crafts, nature observation activities, eco-art, and an introduction to the magical cultural and natural landscape of the very unique coastalregion of Lituania Minor.
